The office of the Central Communications held a press conference dedicated to the development of Kazakhstan's exports, testifying to the recovery process of the economy.

According to forecast data by the end of 2016 the expected volume of Kazakhstan's exports amount to about $ 35 billion (A decrease of 24% or $ 11 billion).

As noted at the press conference, Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC "National Agency for Export and Investment «KAZNEX INVEST» - Meyrzhan Maykenov said: "The main reduction accounted, as in the past year, for commodities. This is due to the fall in prices for our main export article - energy. Unfortunately, our economy is dependent on international quotations for oil, gas and other commodities. At the same time, when compared to 2015, we are observing the recovery process of the economy".

As a positive factor can be considered an increase in the share of processed products by 10.7 percentage points from 24% to 35%. The ratio of 34.7% ($ 12.1 billion - Processed) to 65.3% ($ 22.8 billion - Raw).

"The range of export goods increased to 969 positions, for example, in 2008 we have exported about 880 commodity items. The geography of export countries also expanded, so today Kazakhstan exports to 117 countries. We believe, this was due to the launch of new production facilities within the industrialization program and the broad coverage tools of export support for domestic manufacturers from the state. As a result, we expect that export of finished goods at the end of 2016 will increase by 14% ($ 2.7 billion)", - said Meyrzhan Maykenov.

To support the Kazakhstani export oriented enterprises in the current year, we held 66 events, in particular, organized participation of 40 domestic enterprises in overseas exhibitions, conducted 17 trade missions, presented 4 national stand of Kazakhstan at the largest international exhibitions. At the end of the year with the support of «KAZNEX INVEST» Kazakh producers were able to sign export contracts for the supply of medicines, medical products, salt, building materials, men's suits, children's clothing, pasta, flour, beverages, and confectionery products for $ 200 million.

"Talking about the effectiveness of programs to support exporters, it is important to note that the budget of KZT 1 spent on promotion of domestic companies export brought 59 tenge in the form of export contracts," - concluded the deputy chairman of «KAZNEX INVEST».
