German interest

Recent days were really generous for visits by heads of foreign diplomatic missions. The Ambassadors of the Great Britain and USA visited Mangistau region this week. There was also a visit of German economic delegation headed by General Consul of Germany in Almaty Renate Schimkoreit.

November 25 Akim of the region Alik Aydarbayev welcomed General Consul of Germany in Almaty Renate Schimkoreit.

During the meeting the parties discussed extension of cooperation between Germany and Mangistau region.

The delegation of the leading economy in Europe including German businessmen was particularly interested about opportunity for German companies to participate in economic diversification of the region.

‘German businessmen have successfully worked with Mangistau region; examples are construction of Heidelber-Cement concrete plant in Shetpe village, supplies of modern medical equipment for the regional clinic and perinatal center. This visit of the German delegation has a goal to extend and develop economic partnership with Mangistau’ – Renate Schimkoreit mentioned at the meeting with the Head of the region .

During two-week visit to Mangistau the German delegation was at the regional perinatal center, SEZ Aktau Seaport facilities: Arcelor Mittal Tubular Products Aktau oil pipe plant and Keppel Kazakhstan offshore steel structure plant. German representatives have also visited Mangistau regional clinic, Caspian Machine-building Complex and Caspi bitum JV.
