Within the framework of the Kazakh-Turkmen business forum was held a meeting of entrepreneurs of Mangistau region and Balkan province. Thus, Turkmen businessmen showed interest in purchasing grain crops in Mangistau region. Now we are talking about the purchase of 80 thousand tons. Entrepreneurs also negotiated the purchase of agricultural products directly from producers, without intermediaries. Aktau transformer plant intends to conclude an agreement on the supply of its products directly to Turkmenistan. In General, the results of the forum resulted in proposals for cooperation in 13 areas. "First of all, it concerns the industrial sector, the development of air communication, the development of transport logistics, the development of SMBs. Both regions-the Mangystau and Balkan provinces-have serious potential that will help in the development of our two countries. The basis of the agreements that we have previously discussed will be considered by the Turkmen side and offered to our side. We are willing to have these relationships to develop," - said akim of the Mangystau region Eraly Tugzhanov.

One of the main directions that was discussed during meetings and negotiations is the development of transport and logistics hub. As you know, international transport corridors "TRACECA" and "North – South" pass through the territory of the Mangystau region, connecting Eastern Europe with Central Asia and Northern Europe with the countries of the Persian Gulf. SEZ "seaport Aktau", being the Western gate of Kazakhstan, plays a key role in ensuring the country's entry into world commodity markets. This was discussed during the visit of the Mangystau delegation to the Turkmenbashi international trade port.

"Our seaports should take advantage of the unique buffer capability between Asia and Europe and send cargo to other countries. The threads already there. It is necessary to make plans and develop prospects in this direction. So, SEZ seaport Aktau entered into an agreement with an international company DP World in this very area. If we talk about the railway direction, the workload here is very low. Therefore, a number of issues need to be addressed at the highest level. Roads – this year will be developed the feasibility study and in September we will be ready for the start of construction of the road from Kinderly to the border with Turkmenistan. It is 164 km road 4 categories. On the Turkmen side, there is a full understanding and desire to work in this direction", - said akim Eraly Tugzhanov.

Also during the visit to Turkmenistan, the Kazakh delegation participated in the exhibition of producers of Mangistau region and Balkan province. In parallel, a number of bilateral business meetings were held. There was also a friendly match between mini-football teams of Mangistau region and Balkan province. At the end of the visit, a joint Kazakh-Turkmen concert was held. Mangistau was represented by folk ensemble "Akzharma", soloists of the Mangystau regional Philharmonic named Murat Oskenbaev, and various dance groups. There was also organized an exhibition of applied art of Mangistau regional history Museum.
