3 PROJECTS TO BUILD WIND AND SOLAR POWER PLANTS ARE BEING IMPLEMENTED IN THE MANGYSTAU REGION

Today, there was a regular administration meeting under the chairmanship of Akim Eraly Tugzhanov in the akimat of Mangystau region. Several issues were discussed on the agenda.

The Acting Head of the Department for Coordination of Employment and Social Programs Kuanysh Berishbaev spoke about the introduction of a new format of targeted social assistance and formalization of self-employed.

In 2018, 554 families or 2,100 people in the Mangystau region will receive stated allowance. Another 416 families or 1013 people will receive unconditional financial assistance. It is expected that 1400 families or 7000 people will apply for benefits. In this regard, on the assumption that 1.4% of people from each family are working, it is planned to provide jobs for 1,960 people.

Sapar Amanbekov, Head of the Energy and Housing and Communal Services Department, reported on the work plans of the Energy and Housing and Communal Services Department to achieve the main target indicators.

To date, settlements belonging to the three cities of the region are provided with centralized drinking water by 99.8%, 61 rural settlements by 64%.

In 2017, six projects totaling KZT 6.1 billion were launched in the region. The projects for drinking water supply in the village of Baskudyk, Munaily region, Borankul and Sarga villages of Beineu district will be commissioned by the end of the year. As a result, the availability of centralized water supply in rural areas will reach 69% in 2018.

KZT 300.0 million was allocated for providing drinking water to the village of Kyzyltobe in the Munaily district. The total cost of this project is 2.1 billion tenge, the length is 92.1 km.

In addition, this year within the "Nurly Zhol" program, the construction of a water pipeline in the amount of 1.4 billion tenge and a length of 61.8 km will be completed in the city of Fort-Shevchenko in Tupkaragan region. After the completion of the project Fort Shevchenko will be provided with centralized drinking water by 100%.

The centralized sewerage system for settlements in the three cities of the region is 97%, of 61 villages - 6 or 17%. In addition, the settlements belonging to the three cities of the region are provided with centralized gas supply by 100%, 53 out of 61 villages or 86.89%.

There are 3 projects on construction of wind and solar power stations in the region. Two of them will be completed in the 1st quarter of 2018. This is a power plant with a capacity of 5 MW in the village of Akshukyr, the Tupkaragan district and a solar power station with a capacity of 7 MW in the village of Batyr, the Munaily district. Another project is planned to be completed before the end of this year.

According to the work plans of the Agriculture Department, 1200 hectares of land are planned to be used for growing vegetable and melon crops in 2018. "There are plans to improve the work of greenhouses. Thanks to the expansion of 2 greenhouses (Shandykul and Burkitbaev Private Enterprises) from 1.5 hectares to 3 hectares and commissioning of 2 greenhouses (Teplitsa LLP and Senek LLP), the provision of vegetables to the inhabitants of the region will increase. In addition, we plan to subsidize 80% of costs on the basis of applications of farmers and entrepreneurs, and also to drill 60 wells for drinking water," - said the Head of the Agriculture Department Serik Kaldugulov.
