On October 03, 2023, a meeting with Deputy Minister of Transport of Latvia Uldis Freimanis took place on the territory of the Aktau Seaport SEZ.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "SEZ "Seaport Aktau" Kabashev A.T. familiarized with the norms of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan regulating the activities of special economic zones, the advantages of implementing projects on the territory of the SEZ, as well as with the activities of plans for the further development of the SEZ.

During the familiarization with the transport and logistics potential of the region, the delegation got acquainted with the activities of the participants of the SEZ - Aktau Commercial Sea Port, Aktau Northern Sea Terminal and Kuryk port, plans for the construction of a container hub based on the port of Aktau.

Following the meeting, an agreement on further cooperation was reached.
