Within the framework of the meeting, the main indicators of SEZ and measures to improve their effectiveness were reviewed.

The Minister for Investments and Development, Zh. Kassymbek, akim of Mangistau region, Y. Tugzhanov, South Kazakhstan region — Zh. Tuimebayev, Almaty region —  A. Batalov, Atyrau region — N. Nogayev, Zhambyl region — A. Myrzakhmetov, Pavlodar region — B. Bakauov, Karaganda region — Y. Koshanov, and the cities of Astana — A. Issekeshev, Almaty — B. Baibek reported on the course of the execution of the President’s instructions and the plans for further work.

In addition, the Ministers of Energy, K. Bozumbayev, National economy — T. Suleimenov, Finance —  B. Sultanov and the heads of the managing companies of the special economic zones made speeches on the measures taken to fill the current SEZs in their areas.

For reference: There are 11 special economic zones in Kazakhstan. A total of 165 projects have been launched on the territory of the SEZs, 13 thousand jobs have been created. The volume of investments in SEZ projects is 787 billion tenge.
