KAZAKH INVEST SIGNS A NUMBER OF AGREEMENTS WITH FOREIGN COMPANIES — AEF 2018

The Memorandum with Da Vinci Capital envisages the creation of an investment fund in the agro-industrial complex with a focus on deep processing and export, as well as the support of projects in the area of new technologies and retail.

"We work in different regions of the CIS, and the fund that we are creating specifically for Kazakhstan will be the fourth. We plan, with the support of Kazakh Invest, to find investment projects in the agricultural sector. We also consider other segments of interest in Kazakhstan ­– the food industry, high-tech projects, etc.," the representative of Da Vinci Capital noted.

The tripartite memorandum of Kazakh invest with ReEN Partners Joint Venture and As Asia is aimed at implementing projects for the construction of wind power plants.

The Kazakh-Slovenian Business Club will assist in establishing close economic ties between Kazakh companies and European companies, and will be engaged in finding specific investors in the region.

It should be noted that the German Committee for Eastern European Economic Relations will also assist in organizing negotiations with companies and organizations in Eastern Europe and business visits of Kazakh companies to Germany. Deputy Chairman of the Kazakh Invest Board, Marat Birimzhan, signed the corresponding memorandum earlier at the meeting of the Berlin Eurasian Club.

Within the framework of the AEF, the Chairman of Kazakh Invest Saparbek Tuyakbaev met with the world's largest companies. So, with the owner of Global Beef, William Price, the implementation of the memorandum reached during the visit of the Head of State to the USA in January was discussed. Global Beef is interested in creating an animal cluster in Kazakhstan.

At a meeting with Middle East Marine, projects on the extraction and processing of lithium were discussed.

During the meeting with the program manager of the World Bank, Farbod Youssefi, an agreement on the exchange of information, bilateral consultations was reached.
