Answering journalists' questions, the Minister for Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Zhenis Kassymbek spoke about the results of work on the implementation of the President's Address "The Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global Competitiveness" during the press conference at Government House.

"The construction works at both facilities will be completed in the second decade of May, approximately on the 15th. During ten days, the test phase will be held, and we plan to take the first passenger both at the station and at the airport on June 1," Zh. Kassymbek said.

This is done for the period of the International Exhibition EXPO-2017. But if the project succeeds, this mode will be retained in the future.

In addition, the minister assured that the new airport will have a large supply of passenger traffic. "This year, we launched the "open sky" for the capital in the pilot mode.
