In his address, the President noted that the forthcoming Universiade is the largest sports event through the history of independence, contributing to enhancing the unity of its nation.

- All that we have done - we have done for the youth. The Student Games’ social infrastructure and sporting venues of - all that will serve us for years and years, the President of Kazakhstan said.

Nursultan Nazarbayev expressed confidence that Kazakhstan’s people will support the national team and the Universiade-2017 will be a truly national holiday.

In conclusion, the Head of State wished the athletes good luck and bright victories in the upcoming competitions.
