Bakytzhan Sagintayev emphasized that a lot of organizational work has been done for the International Exhibition, and now, it remains to implement the full range of planned activities qualitatively. The Ministry of Culture and Sports was instructed to ensure overall coordination in this work.

The Minister of Culture Arystanbek Mukhamediuly reported that the cultural program EXPO-2017 provides for a broad demonstration of achievements in the field of culture and sports of the multinational people of Kazakhstan.

The national cultural complex "Ethnoaul" will become the center of the traditional culture of Kazakhstan. In addition, national and international competitions in national sports will be held at the Kazanat racetrack.

During the exhibition, it is planned to perform over 50 events on the stage of the State Opera and Ballet Theater. The international opera singers contest "Opera" will bring together the best vocalists from all over the world in Astana. Placido Domingo, actors of the La Scala theater, the Mariinsky Theater will perform at Astana Opera Theater.

In the period of EXPO-2017, the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan will hold exhibitions of national and international levels. The exhibition "Terracotta Army of the Emperor Qin Shihuandi" will be held in Kazakhstan for the first time, at the expense of the Chinese side. The Egyptian side will bring to Astana the exhibition "Monuments of Ancient Egypt". One of the most significant events will be an exhibition from the Hermitage funds. Visitors to the museum will also be presented with an exhibition of objects from the collection of the Museum of Islamic Art "Sultan Beibars and his era." The international exhibition "Gold of Scythians" will not leave indifferent guests.

A special place in the cultural program is devoted to staging performances and open-air concerts. This is G. Verdi's opera Aida, classical ballet Don Quixote by Ludwig Minkus, the production of E. Brusilovsky's opera Kyz Zhibek, a concert by Dimash Kudaibergenov. The International Film Festival "Eurasia" will be the central event within the framework of the exhibition.

During the EXPO-2017 period, 14 major sporting events are planned, including 6 world championships, 2 Asian championships, 3 international competitions, 2 President's Cup and the 55th annual World Boxing Council convention. The route of the International Silk Way Rally - 2017 " on automotorcycle sport will be on the territory of our country.

Within the framework of the EXPO-2017 exhibition, the implementation of the integrated cultural program will allow to form a positive image of our country on the international arena, as well as to acquaint the whole world with the traditions and culture of Kazakhstan, A. Mukhamediuly noted.
